Who We Are
BBES (Buzz Bugg Electrical Services Ltd) is a small team of electricians who believe in doing things right — first time. We’re based in Thanet and we work across Kent. We set the business up in 2021, but we’ve been on the tools for over a decade.
We’ve worked in all sorts of places — small homes, big developments, workshops, farms, caravans, showrooms. And we’ve fixed more botched jobs than we can count. That’s why we started BBES: to offer a service where you don’t have to second-guess the quality of the work.
When you deal with us, you get us. No call centres, no subbies, no getting passed around. We turn up, do the work properly, and don’t leave until everything’s safe, tested, and signed off.
What We Focus On
We can handle most electrical jobs, but we specialise in a few key areas where people often get let down by others:
Full House Rewires
If your property hasn’t been rewired in decades — or you’re taking on a renovation — we can fully rewire your home to current standards. That means new cabling throughout, new sockets, switches, lighting, and a fresh consumer unit. We take care of everything from planning to plaster-ready finish. We work cleanly, stick to timeframes, and keep disruption to a minimum. You get a system that’s safe, modern, and ready to last.
New Build Electrical Installations
We work directly with builders, developers and self-builders to wire new homes from scratch. We handle the first and second fix, plan the install with your build schedule, and leave you with a complete, certified system that ticks every box.
EV Charger Installation
We install EV chargers at homes and workplaces. Whether you’ve got one vehicle or a full fleet, we’ll help you choose the right charger, get it installed safely, and issue the correct paperwork. We don’t oversell — we explain your options clearly and keep the install tidy.
Fire Alarm Systems
We fit smoke alarms, heat detectors, and full fire alarm systems for homes, HMOs, landlords, and business premises. Everything we install meets current fire safety regulations. If you’re a landlord or HMO owner, we’ll make sure your property is up to spec and provide what you need for your local authority checks.
Our Accreditations
We are a NICEIC Approved Contractor — Reg No. 619974000.
That means our work is assessed regularly and held to a proper standard. We’re fully insured and we issue all the right certificates with our installs. You also get added protection through NICEIC’s Platinum Promise, which gives extra cover if anything ever went wrong — though we don’t plan on that happening.
We’re also compliant with Part P of the Building Regs and we stay up to date with changes in legislation and standards. We don’t just follow the rules — we work above the minimums wherever it counts.
Special Locations — We Know the Rules
Some jobs are more involved than others. Certain locations are listed in the BS7671 wiring regulations as “special”, meaning they need extra care, specialist knowledge, and stricter compliance.
We’re trained to work safely and correctly in:
- Agricultural settings (barns, stables, farm buildings)
- Rooms with baths or showers
- Saunas and steam rooms
- Marinas, docks, and boatyards
- Static homes and caravans
- Exhibition halls and temporary structures
These aren’t jobs to leave to someone who “sort of knows what they’re doing”. We’ve done them before, and we know how to do them right
How We Work
We quote clearly, we turn up when agreed, and we stick to what we say. If something unexpected comes up, we explain it before we do anything else. No surprises. No excuses.
We don’t treat smaller jobs like they don’t matter, and we don’t rush bigger ones to move on to the next. Everything gets the same level of care. We also tidy up before we go. You’d think that would be standard — it’s not, but it is with us.
